Did you know, November till June is Flamingo time in Mumbai? The peak season
is April and May. You can spot both Asian species of Flamingos, the
Greater and Lesser Flamingos in huge numbers during this season because of
favourable weather, habitat and food in and around the Thane creek. Lesser
Flamingos mostly arrive from Rann of Kutch and Greater Flamingos arrive all the
way from Europe, the Caspian Sea and the middle east.
Join us this April on a guided Flamingo Watching Visit plus a talk and bird photography tips with
Vidyasagar Hariharan, a migratory bird photographer and flamingo observer. His images have been used by BBC and National Geographic! This followed by lunch at Old Bailey's restaurant a short walk away.
