These Home Remedies Will Give You Smooth Wrinkle Free Skin

Want wrinkle-free, smooth and glowing skin? Try these home remedies and reduce wrinkles the natural way.

Developing wrinkles is a part of natural ageing and a badge of pride for many. In between the time you blow out the candles on your 40th and 50th birthday, wrinkles usually start showing up, especially on parts of your body that are exposed to the sun. The reasons could be many — prolonged exposure to the sun, your skin losing its moisture and thickness, genetics, the habit of smoking and even an imbalanced diet.

Who doesn’t wish to have wrinkle-free, toned and glowing skin, irrespective of age? While there are several over-the-counter anti-ageing creams that may help you deal with your wrinkles, the best way to tackle them is by going the natural way. Here are some super awesome natural remedies that improve the appearance of wrinkles.

Aloe Vera: Known for a host of properties beneficial to the skin, aloe vera happens to significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, adding collagen, the main structural protein found in skin and other connective tissues and keeping the skin hydrated. Daily application of aloe vera gel can do wonders.

Banana mask: A powerhouse of natural oils and vitamins, bananas are considered to boost skin health and improve the appearance of wrinkles. All you need to do is mash a quarter of a banana, make a smooth paste, apply a thin layer of the paste on your skin, allow it to sit and dry for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse it off with warm water.

Egg whites: The thin egg membrane separating the egg white from the eggshell helps effectively in reducing wrinkles. It has been found to increase collagen production, thereby making the skin smoother and stretchy. However, those who are allergic to eggs must avoid this method.

Essential oils: Putting a small amount of essential oils mixed with a carrier oil on wrinkles may help in reducing them. Diluting it with a carrier oil helps to avoid irritation on the skin. Some effective essential oils for wrinkles are frankincense, jojoba, lavender, pomegranate, rose and sandalwood.

Olive oil, veggies and legumes: Consuming olive oil protects the skin from developing wrinkles. The stems and leaves of olive and the extracted oil contain compounds that increase the skin’s collagen levels. Also, vegetables like tomatoes, broccoli and legumes like lentils and beans have protective properties against wrinkles.

Vitamin C: Rich in antioxidants, Vitamin C helps create collagen in the skin and improves the appearance of wrinkles and any form of sun damage to the skin. Vitamin C is found naturally in chilli peppers, guava, lemons, oranges and kale. You can also apply a topical gel containing Vitamin C that hydrates the skin, increases collagen and decreases inflammation.

Applying moisturizer to the skin daily, keeping it hydrated, keeping away from smoking and sticking to a healthy diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables and low in processed foods goes a long way in keeping your skin looking smooth and shining.
