Join us for an exciting follow up session with Margie Sastry, former Associate Editor of Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle, who has spent decades creating stories that have captivated readers of all ages.

Margie will take you on a journey of crafting comic scripts, for Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle, science popularization through the comic format, and share the basic grid of a comic page. You will also participate in making your own one page comic during the session.

Whether you're a comics enthusiast, aspiring writer, or simply curious about storytelling, this is your chance to learn from a true industry veteran.

Margie Sastry

Host Name

Margie Sastry is a writer, editor, translator, researcher and teacher with over four decades of experience in the creative landscape. Her name is familiar to many young Indians as a script writer and associate editor of Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle comics. She also wrote scripts for Surabhi, Khana Khazana, Musafir hoon Yaaron, Yatra and, Gurukul on TV. Some years ago, she turned to teaching, using her scripts and videos to concoct short term designer courses for NID, CEPT, NIFT, JKLU, NIRMA ,and the Faculty of Journalism at M.S. University of Baroda. Story telling is her core skill especially the Indian folk style that goes on and on and on! She is based in Baroda and is a member of the Silver Talkies Club.
